Leveraging Innovation to Create Resilient, NetZero, Affordable Housing.

The mission of the Massachusetts Housing and Climate Innovation Center, Inc. is to understand and address the local, regional, national, and global challenges at the intersection of attainable housing and climate change; to promote and support advances in more affordable and climate resilient housing; and to create a bridge of collaboration toward achieving net zero goals through the use of innovative and sustainable materials, products, technologies, and models in the development, construction, and renovation of housing.

Founded in 2023, the Massachusetts Housing & Climate Innovation Center was established by a broad coalition of stakeholders that included the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Massachusetts, the Cape Cod Climate Change Collaborative, the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce, affordable housing developers, municipal/county/state officials, educators, entrepreneurs, and Cape Cod Community College leaders.  From a vantage point rooted on Cape Cod, we understand that Innovation is a key component to solving the complex challenges of building and renovating housing that is resilient, net zero and affordable. 

Our team is made up of passionate professionals who are committed to advancing housing affordability and achieving climate goals in lockstep. Our Board of Directors and Advisory Council include experts in housing construction, clean technology, renewable energy, climate mitigation and adaptation, venture capital and environmental policy who work together to drive innovation and achieve our mission.
